As part of our route to market strategy we will develop insights about which channels we will invest in for each of our categories – high growth channels, strategically important channels as well deciding which channels we should not focus on – all based on our deep understanding of shoppers and why they choose where to shop. Managing by channel forces us to think about the unique needs of each channel in our category, and in turn, the customers in each channel.

channel picture of success for the category – which can then guide strategic choices for customers in the channel.
